Protective Fencing has been recognised with two awards at the 2026 Hunter Manufacturing Awards, celebrating both our workplace and the leadership helping shape its future.
At Friday night’s awards, Protective Fencing won Diversity in Manufacturing, while Director Samantha Swain received the award for Excellence in Manufacturing Leadership. With nominations across five categories, it was an evening that gave our team plenty to celebrate.

Sam’s leadership award is a special moment for our business. It recognises an individual whose contribution is closely connected to the people around her and to the continued development of Protective Fencing.
Since joining the family business in 2018, Sam has brought her commercial experience to Australian manufacturing. Alongside James Gibbens, she helps lead the next chapter of a business with more than five decades of history.
We are proud to see Sam’s contribution recognised by the manufacturing industry. Congratulations, Sam, from the whole Protective Fencing team.
