Security fencing for data centres

Data centres require perimeter fencing that fits the operator’s physical-security brief and the facility’s day-to-day access needs. The outer boundary, service compounds and entry areas may need different arrangements.

Specify a coordinated perimeter

PROMAX 358 anti-climb mesh, PROPALE palisade and Boulevard Security are options to investigate against the project requirements. Consider panels, posts, fixings, gates and any nominated toppings together.

Interfaces with access control and other security systems should be coordinated by the project team. A fence product alone does not establish the performance of the facility’s overall security arrangement.

What to include in the brief

• Site location, operator specification and the purpose of each fenced area.
• Boundary plans, required heights, levels and gate opening sizes.
• Service and maintenance access requirements.
• Finishes, interfaces and required product documentation.
• Quantities, approval milestones and staged delivery dates.
