RMS RURAL FENCING
Wandering stock cause a significant number of crashes each year in rural areas. The impact between a fast-moving vehicle and a large animal poses a serious risk to humans and animals alike.
Rural boundary fences focus on preventing cattle, sheep, and other stock from wandering onto roads.
Typical rural fence posts include pre-stressed concrete, galvanised steel or hardwood or softwood timber.
Posts commonly sit 1200 to 1800mm above ground with between 600 mm (rock) and 900mm (earth) of the post below ground for corner posts (450 and 650mm respectively for intermediate posts).
